Marie Antoinette Photo Shoot

I was asked by my friend Krista Jefferson to do hair and make-up for a photoshoot with a Marie Antoinette theme. I jumped at the opportunity! It was so much fun to do HUGE hair and make-up from that period! Krista owns Edison Photography and took some absolutely stunning photos of the models. Her photos of this shoot are featured on WedLuxe Magazine's blog.  Here are some of the hair and make-up photos:

April 16th Wedding

This was another wedding that I did with Pretty in Pink. The weather was pretty awful, but the bride was still in great spirits and was surprisingly calm.

Her bridesmaids were easy to work with and basically said- "do what you want"! The bride's 'nan' had never had her make-up or hair done before- and she was in her 90's! I wish I had snapped a photo of her.

Here are the pictures from the wedding day.

I had to try to get my pictures of her hair while she was pouring tea for the photographers.

This bridesmaid's hair was very short. She had extensions that matched her hair perfectly. You would never know this wasn't her real hair!

April 15th Trial, Cheryl- August Wedding

I did this trial with Melissa Z. Pretty in Pink. This bride wants to have a romantic feel to her wedding, so was thinking a soft up-style with braids. She loved how this turned out. Melissa Z did a fabulous job with her make-up as well!

I can't wait to see the finished product on her wedding day. Her dress will be silver with a white lace overlay. Gorgeous!!

Trial Stephanie- July wedding

I have had Stephanie booked for many many months now- long before I found out I was pregnant and due on July 10th. Stephanie's wedding is on the 31st, so I am hoping this baby boy comes early! She has a very large party, so I will be bringing some help with me.

I did Stephanie's engagement hair and make-up on October 24th, 2010. She wanted something softer, more romantic and almost vintage for her wedding day hairstyle. So, this is what we decided on.

Make-up applied by make-up artist, Wing.

Wedding March 26th- Sharra

This is another wedding that I had with pretty in pink. Sharra had us come to the Waterfront Hotel in Burlington. She had a fun family and party to work with. Sharra decided after her trial that she would rather have her hair half-up instead of in an updo, and I think she was much happier this way. Make-up applied my Melissa Z, owner of Pretty in Pink.

She leaned forward as I took the last picture. :)

Her future sister in law wanted a very smooth, sleek updo and was thrilled with how this one turned out.

Her cousin wanted her hair curled and worn half-up as well, with a little more left down on the sides than the bride.

Bridal Trial February 11th- Jen

Jen is having her wedding in June. She decided to have kind of a "trial party". There were family members, friends and attendants there. It was a really fun night.

Jen wanted to have her hair mostly up on the sides and front with it cascading down her back. It turned out beautifully. More importantly- she loved it. She  also purchased one of my bridal hairpieces for her big day and it looked fabulous on her.

Here is a close-up of the flower hairpiece. It is a white fabric flower fascinator with white tulle and crystal beads.

It sells for $25. You can order one at honeybeemobile@yahoo.ca

One of Jen's bridesmaids wanted to have a trial as well. She wanted to have her hair mostly down with a couple of pieces pulled back at the front. She also wanted to have A LOT of volume. She was very pleased with the result.

Wedding January 22nd- Amanda

When I did Amanda's trial a couple of months before her wedding, she had wanted to wear her shoulder-length hair down in curls. I asked her if she would mind if I showed her what it would look like put up in a loose, low updo. She LOVED it, and decided to go with that look for her wedding day. I am so glad she did. She looked absolutely breath-taking. Here are pictures of Amanda and her step-sister (the only other one I had time to snap pictures of). Make-up applied by Christine with Pretty in Pink.
